Drones used in agricultural research projects!
List of all the Sigma news
Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) or drones as they are often called are used in several research projects to better monitor agricultural fields.
In the iPot project for example researchers use various types of RPAS to monitor potato fields in the Belgian JECAM site. By combining several types of data (spaceborne data, airborne data and ground measurements) researchers can retrieve much more information and work more efficient.
